EK&A –Santa Barbara Parade of Lights

If you particularly enjoy Christmas lights and want to do something fun with friends or family, this Christmas extravaganza is an event you do not want to miss. The 32nd Annual Parade of Lights will be hosted on Stearns Wharf in “Santa’s Village” with beautiful Christmas decor, layers of imported snow, and of course Santa and his helpers. The yearly show allows friends and family to get together and enjoy the holiday spirit while children play in the snow, take photographs with Santa Claus, and watch the spectacular parade of boats float along the water. The first two hundred kids to arrive to meet Santa will receive a free gift bag from Santa Claus himself or one of his helpers.

A variety of boats tour the Santa Barbara coastline and go by Stearns Wharf for onlookers to see, decked out in Christmas gear and lights, from top to bottom making it a fun attraction. Top viewing spots for the Christmas lights parade would be any restaurant located on the pier or where the water breaks along the coast. Approximately 25-35 boats are in the parade motoring, sailing, and paddling around the water for audience members and judges to view. The Parade of Lights is followed by an entertaining fireworks show. This fun filled event only takes place once each year. Winners will be awarded donated cash and prizes under five different themed categories. Don’t miss out on this yearly tradition of holiday cheer that Santa Barbara has to offer!
